Weekend Recap + Another Giveaway!

by Ashley on November 11, 2013

Hi friends! How are ya today?! Happy Monday!

After an incredible weekend in Dallas, the alarm clock rang a little bit too early for the first time in a while this morning. As I’ve mentioned and most of you know, I started a new position as a Nutrition Consultant today. I am incredibly excited and grateful for this opportunity and look forward to the growth that is to come!

Anyway, back to the weekend…

We made it to Dallas on Friday evening and ended up having dinner with a large group to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Unfortunately I didn’t grab ANY pictures from Friday night, but needless to say, the company was wonderful!

Saturday, we started the day with a delicious breakfast/brunch featuring everything from an omelet station to an oat and fruit bar for me.

Following brunch, the guys headed out for a run while my mom and I did a little bit of birthday shopping. We found lots of great deals on so much cute stuff! I ended up with a dress, an American flag scarf and a new pair of yoga pants (surprise, surprise!).

We then headed back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding and were out the door quickly after.

We made it home yesterday evening with just enough time to prep everything and get ready for today.

In honor of my first day on the new job, I wanted host yet another giveaway! Recently the folks over at AquaTally sent me one of their water management cups to try out, and today I will be putting it to great use!

From the website, here is the concept behind the cup…

While at home, I find it pretty easy to ensure that I am drinking enough water; however, when I am away from the house or busy doing other things, I find it easy to forget to drink enough water. AquaTally makes it a little bit easier. A clear cup with a ring and numbers one through eight listed on the cup, all you have to do is fill up, drink and slide the band to the number of cups that you have drank.

We all know that proper hydration is crucial for good health, but making sure we are actually staying hydrated is a different story. Originally designed for older patients and patients with chronic conditions in order to properly track hydration, to me, this cup is great for anyone looking for a friendly reminder and an easy way to ensure that you are drinking enough water though out the day.

Want your own AquaTally cup? All you have to do is let me know why you find it difficult to remember drinking enough water and how AquaTally will help! (Or you can purchase one on their website too!) Simple enough right?! For me, I often remember to drink after my body is already telling me that I am thirsty and as you’ve probably learned, I’m already dehydrated at that point… but not anymore!

(Giveaway ends Friday 11/15 at midnight.)

Have an awesome day!

Good health!

Ashley!! I need the AquaTally cup because I am always carrying around plastic water bottles. I would love to easily figure how much I have drank in a day verses trying to remember how many ounces were in that bottle I just drank and how many ounces are in a cup…

I find it hard to drink enough water on the weekends and at home when there’s not a water cooler a few steps from me like there is at work. It would definitely help and be motivating to be able to easily track how much water that I am drinking.

I’m constantly on my feet at work so it’s very important I stay hydrated. On days I am underhydrated I get headaches by the end of the day and it affects the work I do with my patients. I lose track of how much I do and don’t drink so I think the counter on the cup is a perfect tool to keep me accountable! Plus, if I can stay hydrated, I can devote all I have to my patients! Win/win!

I am always having trouble getting in all my water during the day. I am a teacher and the day is so fast that when I reach for my water bottle to go home, I realize I have drank a lot less than I thought!

I am a student and drinking water is very important to me! If I had the AquaTally cup it would help me tremendously with remembering to drink my water and how much I have drank. I love the whole concept behind this cup especially because it acts not only has a tally of how much water you have drank but also it reminds you to drink enough water! This cup would also save me the money of constantly buying water bottles from the vending machines!

P.S- I LOVE your blog!!

Sometimes I find it hard to remember to take breaks to drink water if I’m working during the day. I just get busy!
