Happy Friday!

by Ashley on October 4, 2013

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope you had a fabulous week!

I just wanted to stop in and say hello. I have had an extremely busy past couple of days.

Yesterday, I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off totaling probably around 200+ miles in my car. The day ended perfectly at the Braves game with my dad, and I also got to catch up with a dear friend as she cheered her hubby on from the stands. The baseball family is pretty incredible to say the least. The thing I miss the most about baseball is definitely the friendships that we made.

Hopefully the Braves will find better luck against the Dodgers tonight!

My dad and I at the game!

Anyway, today started with a few sprints with the pups in order to try and tire them out because I knew I was going to be gone for most of the day.

I never thought I’d see the day that I was running not one, not two, but three large dogs. That’s my dad’s German Shepard on the right.

Following our run, I headed straight out the door to the doctor, for a Friday arm workout, an impromptu lunch with my parents at one of our favorite Greek spots, Papoulis, and to run some last minute errands for a wedding shower for a friend that I am helping host tomorrow.

Greek salads, dolmas, hummus, etc…

I also got to spend a few hours with my grandfather, who is not doing very well, so please keep him in your prayers if you will. Tomorrow is his 81st birthday, so I pray that he finds happiness, peace and comfort not only on his birthday but in the days that follow. Happy Birthday to my sweet Charlie!

I just love him so!

Anyway, I wanted to share this quote that I saw and felt fitting for not only today but everyday.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend. Next week is “Sweet Potato Week” over here, so be sure to check back for a new delicious recipe each day!

It’s five o’clock somewhere and that just happens to be here!

Such a lovely picture with you and your grandpa!:) I have to say, I just love your Christian approach to this blog, and as a girl raised the same her whole life, I love seeing another woman proclaim her faith, yet still keep it real:) Hope you have a great weekend! If it makes you feel any better, this chicken has had her head cut off all week too!:)
