Football Season is Upon Us! Healthy Tailgating Recipes

by Ashley on August 30, 2013

Hi friends!! Happy Friday! Hopefully by the time you read this I am sitting beach side with my girls in honor of this pretty little lady’s bachelorette!

In other exciting news this, I’m so excited football season is finally upon us, more specifically the Georgia vs. Clemson game on Saturday!

This is a big deal in my house.

Growing up is was a Georgia fan through and through. My dad played on the 1980 National Championship team so cheering on the dogs was no question. Through the years because of a few certain events, my love for the Dawgs faded. Not only that, but I had a new football team to cheer for when my brother signed with the Clemson Tigers my junior year of high school. Not saying that I am a fair weather fan but I’m going to cheer for whatever team my brother is playing for, so the Tigers it was!

Although I grew up Between the Hedges, my college weekends were spent traveling to and from Death Valley to cheer on #10. Now that both of those events have passed, I still cheer for both teams but have never had to pick one… until now!! Or maybe I’ll just cheer on both!

Major #tbts right here…

But regardless of who wins, I think the ultimate winner is the person in the kitchen preparing the tasty game day spread! Since I’ll be on the beach and not at a football tailgate, here are a few links to some healthy yet tasting looking tailgate recipes!

All of these can be adapted to your personal preference too!

Go Tigers! As a former GA girl and Clemson grad I’m extra nervous for this game! Love the healthy tailgate recipes. I find most tailgaters are thrilled to eat something other than buffalo chicken dip and burgers!
