TOTW: Most Food Producers Don’t Care

by Ashley on August 11, 2010

As I said in an earlier post, I am starting a Tip of the Week section here on my blog. Not because I think you don’t already know some of this stuff, but because I think it’s nice to be reminded; friendly reminders help keep us all on on track.

One of the first and most important things we all need to know about our health is that no food producers care about our health – plain and simple, they care about our MULAH.

They don’t care if the slice of bread you buy claims it’s ‘Whole Wheat’ but on the label states it has about .005% of whole wheat flour in it. That’s why the first TOTW is to read your labels.

If you don’t recognize the ingredients, most likely your body doesn’t either, therefore slowing your metabolism, clogging your arteries, sending your hormones on a roller coaster ride, making you hungrier, and causing a slue of other problems.

I have a rule of NO high fructose corn syrup allowed in my house, might be something you want to look into too. This rule truly drives Cameron crazy. I’d rather eat a bug for dinner than HFCS, hey, it’s all natural, right?
